Workshop #11: Peihong Endris (artist) | Junrui Garcia (teacher)

Ink Art Adventure: Have you ever wanted to try East Asian ink painting—creating playful pandas, curious insects, or charming kittens? Join us for a magical journey into the world of traditional ink art!

In this workshop, students will discover the core techniques of ink painting, including brush control, line variation, and composition. Along the way, they’ll build confidence in creating art inspired by both observation and imagination—learning that art is as much about feeling and movement as it is about representation.

Medium: Painting

Workshop Dates

  • Thursday, Nov. 6 at 5:30 and 6:30 pm
  • Saturday, Nov. 8 at 10, 11:15 am, 12:30 and 1:45 pm

Join us for all of the workshops in this Summer Series!

Peihong Endris (artist)

Peihong D Endris was born in China in 1959 and graduated Fine Arts in 1993. Being an artist is to walk the path of harmony between traditional and nature. As a Chinese brush painting artist, I draw inspiration from the timeless elegance of historical masterpieces-study the bold strokes of Bada Shan Ren, the poetic subtlety of Ma Yuan, and the vibrant vitality of Qi Baishi. Yet the true teacher lies in nature itself: the whisper of bamboo, the dance of Mountain mist, the resilience of plum blossoms in winter. With ink and brush, I seek to capture not just form, but the Qi-the living spirit that flows through ancient art and the natural world, weaving past and present into a single breathing composition.
