PowerTower in this exhibit is currently closed. The Museum is committed to extensive cleaning and safety protocols and will re-open the exhibit at the appropriate time.
With three levels of physical challenges that are meant to push you to your next level, there is something for everyone to try in PowerPlay! As you jump, stretch, crank, dance, climb and crawl your way through this exhibition, you will explore strength, flexibility and endurance. Take your heart rate before and after each challenge and learn important tips for maintaining good physical health while discovering ways you can continue to work on all three at home.
PowerPlay utilizes heart rate monitors at each activity station to show students that human body has a physiological response to exercise. Regular exercise helps the cardiovascular system work more efficiently and has many health benefits.
“My kids love to climb in the Power Tower. They like to start at the bottom and race each other to the very top.”
Climb through all three stories of the Power Tower. There are many different paths you can take, but not all paths lead to an exit.
Follow the dance steps to get the high score or create your own moves and groove with the beat! Then measure how dancing affects your heart rate.
Roll the ball to earn a high score in this interactive gaming experience! Compete with a friend or play by yourself to see how far you can roll the giant ball through the virtual rocky path.
