About the Event

WHAT'S HAPPENING

Interactive Display: Get a close-up look at ancient artifacts and try your hand at corn grinding like it was done in the old days.

When: From 10 am to 2 pm in Kids' Hall Alcove

Danza Azteca Splendor! by Calmecac Indigenous Organization: Celebrate Native heritage through the rhythm and beauty of Aztec dance and drum.

When: At 10 am and noon in Playscape

Art Workshops: Join Calmecac Indigenous Organization for hands-on feather art workshops that celebrate traditional craft and cultural creativity.

Limit 12 participants ages 5+. Sign ups open one hour prior to each workshop.

When: At the top of every half hour from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in Design Studio

Songs & Drums: Experience the vibrant rhythms and melodies of Songs & Drums with Calmecac Indigenous Organization.

When: At 11 am in Playscape

Native American Storytime: Enjoy Native American stories brought to life by Calmecac, celebrating Indigenous culture and traditions.

When: At 1 pm in Brown Auditorium

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES

Corn Husk Dolls: Create traditional handcrafted figures and discover the art stories, and traditions behind this meaningful craft.

When: All Day or until supplies last in Maker Annex

Kaleidoscope – Ojos de Dios: Create colorful Ojos de Dios (God’s Eyes) symbolizing the elements, directions, and prayers for protection and abundance in this hands-on activity.
