Join us in kick-starting a celebration of Hispanic heritage! Hispanic Heritage Month is in full swing, and so are the performances, crafts and much more!

WHATS HAPPENING

Ojo De Dios: Create a colorful yarn weaving as you learn about its roots in 15th-century Huichol culture as a meditative tool for seeking wisdom, peace, and guidance.

*15 participants per session ages 6+; sign up one hour prior at Design Studio

When: At the top of every half hour from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in Design Studio

Storytime with Grace Olivares: Join Grace Olivares from Univision for a special bilingual story time for kids and families.

When: At 11 am and 1 pm in the Parent Resource Library

Fiestas Patrias Speech Reenactment: Join us for a vibrant celebration of Fiestas Patrias featuring live mariachi, a powerful reenactment of the Grito de Dolores—the historic call to arms by Miguel Hidalgo that launched the fight for independence—and a festive finale with mariachi and traditional ballet folklórico.

Calmecac Indigenous Organization – Danza Azteca Splendor!: Experience the world of Ancient Mexico in this multi-disciplinary performance of traditional Aztec dancing.

When: At 2 pm in Kids' Hall Alcove

World Rhythm Synergy: This performance shares the rich culture and history of Flamenco through song, guitar, and dance.

When: At 3:30 pm in Kids' Hall Alcove

Anaconda Sculpture: Come view artist Loriana Espinel's The Anaconda / EL GÜIO: A Serpent of Origin, Memory and Movement sculpture in the Greenspace from September 9-28!
