Workshop #8: Whitmire Vo (artist) | Iva Osei-Kuffour (teacher)

Calligraphy and Collaborate: Discover the Beauty of Communication: A Calligraphy Workshop for Kids! Rooted in centuries-old traditions from China, Japan, and Korea, calligraphy is more than just beautiful writing, it’s an expressive art form that reflects culture, discipline, and storytelling. In this vibrant, hands-on workshop, children will explore the fascinating history of East Asian calligraphy and its role in visual communication. They’ll engage in collaborative painting projects inspired by brushwork techniques, while also developing their own symbols and styles to express personal stories and perspectives.

This workshop invites young artists to connect, create, and celebrate the power of words.

Medium: Watercolor
