About the Event

The American Red Cross visits Children’s Museum Houston! During this special event, join Pedro the Penguin (PreK - 2nd grade) or the Pillowcase Project (3rd - 5th grade) to learn how to be prepared and take action during an emergency!

Schedule:


Pedro the Penguin Demonstration

Join Pedro the Red Cross penguin and his friends as they put on a 30–45 min preparedness program for students. You will learn how to be prepared and take action during an emergency.

Grades: Prek-2nd Grade

Times: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Pillowcase Project

A 40–60 min presentation that covers local hazards, coping skills and personal and family preparedness through a “Learn, Practice, Share” framework.

Grades: 3rd - 5th

Times: 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
