Make waves with three days of creativity, discovery, and summer fun! From interactive shows and engineering challenges to ocean-themed crafts and special guests, there's something for every curious kid to explore.

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Thursday, July 9

Mini Drama: Gnome More Water: Join Svenn and Kari in this lively, interactive mini-drama where kids practice kindness by noticing how others might be feeling and exploring ways to share and act fairly every day of the year!

When: At 3:30, 4:30 & 5:30 pm in Gallery of Wonder

Dunk Tank Design Challenge: Make a Splash with STEM: Get ready to build, test, and soak the competition as teams engineer contraptions to trigger the dunk tank! Use force, motion, and creative design to push the lever and send a staff member splashing down before time runs out!

When: From 5:00 to 7:30pm on the Patio

ON-GOING ACTIVITIES

Thermoplastic Ocean Animals: Create colorful ocean creatures like fish, manta rays, and seahorses by shaping melted thermoplastic materials in this hands-on experiment.

When: All Day in Science Station

Sailboats: Design and build your own sailboat while exploring the science of wind, water and buoyancy.

When: All Day in Maker Annex

Creature Feature: Bagel: Meet Bagel, our fascinating lesser siren, and learn how this unique aquatic amphibian survives and thrives in wetland habitats.

When: All Day in EcoStation

Mermaid Crowns and Shark Hats: Dive into an underwater adventure as you craft your own ocean accessory!

When: All Day at the Kids’ Hall Activity Tables

Friday, July 10

Dunk Tank: Make a splash and test your aim as you try to dunk brave staff members in this crowd-favorite activity.

When: From 11 am to 4 pm on the Patio

Mini Drama – Brave Little Leap: Join Zip and Zap, two best-friend frogs, as they discover that compassion, caring and patience can help a friend face their fears and make playtime fun for everyone!

When: At 11 am and 1 pm in the Parent Resource Library

Ganges River Workshop: Learn about the incredible contributions of the Ganges River in India and enjoy art projects like making your own paper boat!

When: At 11:30 am, 12:30 and 1:30 pm in Kaleidoscope

Sand Art Workshops: Create colorful ocean-inspired masterpieces by using glue and colored sand to design a textured work of art. Limit 12 per workshop ages 4+. Sign ups open one hour prior to each workshop.

When: At the top of every half hour from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm in Design Studio
