About the Event

It's time to say "GOODBYE, 2025!" and hello to a New Year! No need to stay up till midnight to celebrate the New Year. Children's Museum Houston welcomes you back to the city's longest-running New Year's Eve celebration just for kids. This end-of-year bash rings in the New Year at the stroke of noon with ball drops, just like Times Square! Catch live performances, and dance 'til the countdowns!

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Necklace Giveaway: The first 200 children willreceive “Happy New Year” necklaces to kick off the celebration.

When: From 9 am until supplies last at the Welcome Center

Juggler Noah: Keep an eye out for Juggler Noah as he gets the party started early!

When: From 9:30 to 10:35 am roaming the Museum

New Year’s Noon Pre-Show!

DJ Ferbidden: Dance to festive beats all morning with DJ Ferbidden!

When: From 9:30 am to 1 pm in Allen Family Courtyard

Mr. Leo Puppet & Magic Show: Enjoy puppetry and magic with Mr. Leo to get ready for the New Year.

When: From 10:15 to 10:45 am in Allen Family Courtyard

Juggler Noah: Featuring jaw-dropping juggling for all ages!

When: From 10:50 to 11:15 am in Allen Family Courtyard

Mad About Hoops: Watch amazing hoop tricks in these interactive performances.

New Year's Noon Countdown Party!

New Year’s Noon Ball Drop: Join us for our annual countdown to 12:00 as we ring in 2026 with our exciting, family-friendly ball drop!

When: From 11:45 am-12 pm

K-Pop Demon Hunters Post-Ball Drop Sing-Along:Celebrate the New Year with a high-energy performance and sing-along featuringK-Pop Demon Hunter cosplay performers immediately after the ball drop.

When: From 12:05-12:30 pm

New Year’s Noon Dance Party: Keep the celebration going a little longer with music, dancing and fun!

When: From 12:30-1:00 pm

New Years Noon – Auditorium Show 

Reserved for families with young children (ages 0–5)and for guests who benefit from a quieter, sensory-friendly environment.

DJ Tyler: Groove to tunes in a quieter setting with DJ Tyler leading the music!

When: From 11 am to 1 pm in Brown Auditorium

Mr. Leo Puppet/Magic Show: Enjoy puppetry and magic with Mr. Leo to get ready for the New Year.
