We're bringing not-so-spooky fun to the Museum with a full day of music, monsters, and thrills! Dance and play with DJ Beetlejuice, snap a photo with Jack Skellington, and explore the Science of Fear. Create clay creatures, remix FrankenToys, enjoy spine-tingling stories, and hunt for black cats around Kidtropolis. It’s a frightfully fun adventure for the entire family!
WHAT'S HAPPENING
DJ Beetlejuice – Music and Games: Move, groove and play along with a high-energy mix of music and interactive games led by DJ Beetlejuice.
Jack Skellington: Meet and take photos with the one-and-only Jack Skellington as he roams the Museum.
Science of Fear: Test your senses with fun, hands-on experiments that explore how our brains react to fear, surprise and suspense.
Face Painters: Show off your style with creative face painting inspired by favorite animals, characters or stories!
Clay Monsters: Shape and design your own imaginative creature using air-dry clay in this hands-on workshop.
Limit 12 participants ages 3+; sign-ups open one hour prior to each workshop.
Spine-Tingling Stories: Join our storytellers to build silly, suspenseful stories together using imagination and creativity!
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES
FrankenToys: Mix, match, and reimagine toy parts to invent a totally original creature in this creative building activity.
Monster Stuffies: Design and create your own colorful stuffed creature in this hands-on maker activity.
Black Cat Scavenger Hunt: Search high and low for hidden black cats and share a bit of your luck with them by doing acts of kindness throughout Kidtropolis.
