From traditional dance and music, this vibrant event offers a unique opportunity to explore the customs and creative expressions that make each culture so special.

WHAT'S HAPPENING
Satuday, May 2

Crafts with Asian Pacific American Heritage Association (APAHA): Create hands-on crafts inspired by Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander cultures while learning about the traditions behind them.

When: From 10 am to 1 pm in Kid' Hall

J&H Dance School: Experience the vibrant rhythms and storytelling of Asian dance traditions in this lively cultural performance.

When: At 10:30 am in Brown Auditorium

Chinese Calligraphy Workshops: Join artist Junrui Garcia for a calligraphy workshop where you can explore the beauty and intricate techniques of this timeless art form!

Limit 15 participants ages 5+; signs up open one hour prior to each workshop.

When: At 11:30 am, 12:30 and 1:30 pm in Design Studio

Henna: Watch talented henna artists create intricate designs while sharing the cultural traditions behind this beautiful art form.

When: From 11 am to 1 pm in Kids' Hall Alcove

Silambam Houston: Experience the beauty of Indian classical arts through musical traditions and storytelling in this special performance.

When: At 12 pm in Brown Auditorium

My Hula Hut Performance: Enjoy vibrant Polynesian music and dance with this lively performance that encourages audience participation!

When: At 2 pm in Brown Auditorium

My Hula Hut - Airbrush Tattoos & Craft: Create a fun island-inspired craft and get a colorful airbrush tattoo celebrating Polynesian culture.

When: From 2:30 to 4 pm in Design Studio

Origama Lanterns: Fold your own origami lantern while learning about the beauty and symbolism of paper-folding traditions.

When: All Day in Kaleidoscope

Origami Jumping Frogs:Turn a simple piece of paper into a playful jumping frog with this fun maker activity.

When: All Day in Chevron Maker Lab

Moana-Inspired Crowns: Create your own island-inspired crown using vibrant paper leaves and flowers!

When: All Day at the Kids' Hall Activity Tables

JASH: Join Japan-America Society of Houston as we create traditional craft decorations used to celebrate Children's Day (May 5) in Japan.

South Seas Productions: Experience a dynamic stage performance featuring Polynesian music and movement that highlights cultural traditions.

When: At 11 am in Brown Auditorium

Lei Making Activity: Join South Seas Productions to create your own beautiful keepsake inspired by island traditions.

When: From 12 pm to 3 pm in New Kids' Hall

T2 Dance Company: Join T2 for a traditional Indian dance performance showcasing storytelling through elegant choreography.
