30th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration

Each year, the Museum honors the legacy of civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with messages of unity, justice, and peace.

See what's happening during our Annual MLK Day Celebration...

Beginning at Noon:

  • Musical Selection/Medley – Dr. Kiana Williams "Lift Every Voice and Sing"
  • Welcome, Purpose by Kids’ Committee President Catherine Kesler & Vice President Jason Chan
  • KC invites crowd to join their Peace March down Kid’s Hall to Alcove
  • Steve Scott reenacts “I Have a Dream” Speech
  • Dr. Kiana sings “A Change is Gonna Come” featuring a speed painting by Ange Hillz
  • KC Press Speaks
  • Dr. Kiana sings "Happy Birthday"
  • KC closing remarks
