Never worry about forgetting your membership card!

We are excited to offer all of our members digital membership cards, which can be downloaded and saved to your smartphone. Going digital means you never have to worry about forgetting your membership card. Plus all your benefits are listed on your digital card so you can be sure to take full advantage of them!

If you prefer a printed membership card, we are happy to issue you one. Please contact us at membership@cmhouston.org or (713)535-7212.  Don't forget to include your name and membership ID in your request and current mailing address.

How do I add the membership card to my iPhone?

Access the email from your smartphone and click the “Download” button, then click “Add to Wallet” and “Add.” The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in Wallet at any time. If you don't see the email in your inbox, be sure to check the Junk, Spam or Unwanted folders of your email.

All of your benefits are listed on "the back" of your digital membership card. Just search for a three-dot icon at the top right of your card to see your benefits, general information and reserve tickets in advance!

How do I add the membership card to my Android phone?

If you have an Android device, you can choose to install it Google Wallet or Wallet Passes apps.  (You can also add to your Gpay wallet if you prefer.)

If you choose the Google Wallet app (Gpay):

  • Make sure Gpay app is installed. You can download it from here.
  • Open the email directly from your phone
  • Tap on the "Download Membership" button
  • Click on "add to Gpay"
  • A preview will appear. Click on "Save to Gpay"
  • In some cases, Gpay might ask you to log in so you can save it to an account. Please log in to continue (no credit card information should be required).
  • The card will be saved to Gpay and you will be able to access it from the Gpay app at any moment.

If you choose the Wallet Passes app:

  • Install the app from the Google Play Store. You may download Wallet Passes from Google Play.
  • After you have the app, access the email from your smartphone and click the “Download membership” button.
  • A new window will appear. Click on the "Add to PassWallet" button and the card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.

All of your benefits are listed on "the back" of your digital membership card. Just click on the "i" icon at the bottom of your card to see your benefits, general information and reserve tickets in advance!

I have additional adults listed on my membership, how can they receive a digital card?

Your additional caregivers' digital cards will be emailed to you within 24 to 48 hours after your purchase. Once you've received them, you can forward the cards to those listed caregivers.

I downloaded my card but I can’t find it.

If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there—it may be hiding). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

How do I use my digital membership card?

You can use your new digital card the same as you would a physical card—just show your card and a photo ID at the front entrance. You can also use your digital card at Fiddle Sticks Toys to receive your member discount.

When will I receive my guest passes? 

If your membership level includes guest passes, they will be available for redemption immediate at the box office.

Can I use my new digital card when traveling?

If your membership level has the ASTC Travel Passport benefit, you should see the logo on the front of your card. Simply show your digital membership card upon arrival at participating museums.

I don't have a smart phone, what should I do?

If you were previously issued a physical membership card, you can continue to use it (even after the printed expiration date), as long as the same membership has been renewed. If you would like to request a physical card mailed, please contact us at membership@cmhouston.org or (713) 535-7212. Don't forget to include your name and membership ID in your request and current mailing address.

I am not sure I received my digital card. Can you send it again?

You may want to check the Junk, Spam and Unwanted folders in your email. To request another digital card contact us at membership@cmhouston.org or (713) 535-7212 and we can resend the email for you to download.

Are my benefits listed on the digital card? 

All of your benefits are listed on "the back" of your digital membership card. Plus you can also find general information on the museum and reserve tickets in advance!

My name is spelled wrong/membership level/expiration date is incorrect.
