Procedure
Cut out the Household Activity Cards on the next page and place them in order from activities you think use the least amount of water to activities you think use the most amount of water.
Look at the gallon jug. Estimate how many gallons of water you think each activity uses. Write this number on a Post-it® note or piece of paper below each activity card. (HINT: a typical bathtub can hold 35 gallons of water)
Look at the Answer Key to find the answers. How did you do? Discuss what surprises you and how you can change your behaviors to save more money on your next utility bill. Remember, you pay for water by the gallon that you use each month!
