Our Sensory Friendly Days offer a wonderful relief from extra stimuli. These exclusive events include the following modifications:
Meet with organizations dedicated to supporting families with sensory sensitivities and developmental needs.
University of Houston (UH) Cognitive Development Lab: Learn how the lab's research on children's language learning can help parents and educators.
Neuhaus Education Center: Visit with Neuhaus Education Center for information and resources pertaining to literacy and dyslexia and do some hands-on alphabet and word reading games and activities with children.
Easter Seals of Greater Houston: Easter Seals has a variety of programs that are free to clients of all ages as well as a toy-lending library with adapted toys. They have many resources available for free for people with disabilities and their families.

Faithful Paws: Fuzzy, friendly, and fluffy all over! These therapy pets are sure to bring a smile!
Santa Meet & Greet: Come say hello to Santa as you share your holiday wishes, interact with him and take a memorable photo!
Craft & Language Workshop – Grinch Stuffies: Create a simple craft while exploring new ways to express yourself.

Storytime with Cindy Lou Who: Celebrate the holiday season with Cindy Lou Who as she shares the classic tale How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
Fake Snow: Explore sodium polyacrylate in how it absorbs water! Everyone will get to take some snow home! Visitors will learn about various states of matter and where real and fake snow fit into that topic!
Sensory Room: Take a break a quiet space designed for children and families to relax, reset and recharge.

Checkout a KultureCity Sensory Bag! – Visit our Welcome Center to checkout a KultureCity Sensory bag which includes Noise-Reducing headphones, fidgets, visual cue card, and an ID Card with a breakaway lanyard.
