The "Brainstorm in Color: Live Brainwave Art Experience" will be a captivating neuroscience-art event at the Children's Museum Houston, where attendees can explore the brain’s activity during creative expression. Using MoBI technology, non-invasive EEG, IMU, and EOG sensors, we’ll capture and visualize real-time brain responses as artists create or as participants engage in painting themselves.
Through video recordings and live visualizations, guests will see firsthand the relationship between brain activity and creativity, gaining insights into the neurobiology of artistic engagement. This event will also gather essential data in a real-world setting to advance research on creativity and the brain.
To further its educational impact, take-home materials on brain health, creativity, and mental wellness will encourage lasting awareness and practice. REM and REU students from the NSF-funded BRAIN Center’s summer program will collaborate on this project, supporting workforce development by providing hands-on experience in science outreach, technology, and community engagement
