Children's Museum Houston cruises into Spring Break with an all-inclusive voyage like no other!

Set sail on a voyage of discovery where your itinerary is filled to the brim with exciting, non-stop adventures every day, all day long!

  • Soar to new heights on our Bungee Trampolines.
  • Celebrate Pi Day (3.14) with a Shaving Cream Pi(e) Fight on March 14
  • Try your luck at the Boardwalk Bonanza.
  • Enjoy entertainingly dynamic and interactive performances at 1 p.m. every day.
  • Make your Spring Break experience a shareable moment with our 360-photo booth.
  • Embrace your zany side and go on an escapade in the Glow Maze.

 

Embark on a daily escapade filled with thrills, hands-on activities, shows and interactive performances. Jugglers and steel drummers will welcome your expedition and set the tone for an adventure like no other. Continue your journey partaking in activities all throughout the Museum. Then, watch performances with a lineup that changes every day.  Come back daily as the party will cruise on a weeklong celebration!

“Rock the Block” Street Fest

Saturday, March 12

Kick-start your getaway and whip your hair back and forth with the energizing beats of DJ Mr. Duke.   Awe in amazement and be inspired by Houston Art Car Parade cars.  Go on a whirlwind adventure of family-friendly competition with carnival games and dunk tank combined with Steel Appeal’s Caribbean steel drum sounds.  Then, enjoy a jaw-dropping performance by Cirque La Vie!

 

17th Annual Π (Pi) Day and  12th Annual Π Pi Day Pi(e) Fight

Open Monday, March 14

March 14 is π(Pi) Day and it’s also Albert Einstein’s birthday!  Children’s Museum Houston is where the original international  π (Pi) Day sensation started nearly 20-years ago and it has caught on ever since!  Come and celebrate the infinite, non-repeating number 3.14… as we close our street to duke it out in a messy, Pi(e)-induced commotion during our 12th Annual Shaving Cream Pi(e)Fight.  Get tossed into the π (Pi)Day celebration at 1:59 p.m. (1.59 because the numbers follow 3.14159) and get ready for a fun-filled day of all things π (Pi) including pudding pies and circle art.

 

Superpowered Showdown

Saturday, March 19

Superheroes unite to beat boredom and all that stands against Spring Break fun.  Kids by day, crime-fighters by night! Snap a selfie with PJ Masks’ Owlette and Catboy. Join Batman, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Star-Lord and Storm for super selfies.  Then, join local artist Christian Navarrete as he shows you how to design an action-packed comic book.

Storybook Opera – “Lula The Mighty Grio”

Houston Grand Opera is thrilled to bring you the Storybook Opera performance of “Lula the Mighty Grio” by Poet Laureate Deborah DEEP Mouton.  “Lula the Mighty Grio” is the moving story of Lula, the protector of her tribe, who keeps hungry alligators from eating all the food in her village.  Join us for a lively mix of picture books and singing storytellers!
