Children’s Museum Houston celebrates America’s birthday with Captain America!
Saturday, July 2, beginning at 10 a.m.
The stars and stripes will be in full effect as we celebrate our country’s 246th birthday at Children’s Museum Houston’s “Action-Packed Summer.” Before rockets glare and fireworks are in the air, exercise your right to be a kid for as long as possible with some good ole American fun. Don’t forget to wear your red, white, and blue to pay tribute to the land of the free and the home of the brave.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Captain America: Get up close to your favorite superhero in a Steve Rogers-inspired celebration.
Event Times: From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout Museum.
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
- Superhero Soldier Mask: Channel the Cap and make your own superhero mask at Junktion.
- Lady Liberty Crown: Celebrate the 4th with a crown like Lady Liberty at Junktion.
- Made in the Shade: Be ready for summertime fun by designing fabulous sunglasses at Junktion.
- Fireworks: Make functional patriotic art to celebrate independence in Alexander Art Academy.
- Blast Off!: Explore propulsion and learn how to build a straw rocket in Science Station.
- Make a Sundial: Let the sun help you tell time at EcoStation.
