CHILDREN’S MUSEUM HOUSTON WINS “HOUSTON’S BEST MUSEUM” IN HOUSTON CHRONICLE’S 2023 BEST OF THE BEST AWARDS

HOUSTON (Aug. 29, 2023) – As summer winds down, Children’s Museum Houston wins BIG! Children’s Museum Houston has won “Houston’s Best Museum” in Houston Chronicle’s 4th Annual Best of the Best Awards. As voted by Houstonians, the award recognizes local favorites in many categories. With nearly 380,000 nominations and votes received last year, the competition to be crowned the best was fiercer than ever this year.
Children’s Museum Houston has been on a winning streak. Earlier this year, it was the only children’s museum to receive Good Housekeeping’s first year “Best Family Travel Award” and hailed as the “Nation’s Stand-Out Kids’ Museum.” Also, it was voted second by readers in this year’s KidsOutandAbout.com’s “Top 20Places to Kids in Houston.”
This past summer, more than 235,000 people visited Children’s Museum Houston. As the season winds down, the Museum will wrap up with a “Powerful Poets” event featuring current Houston poet laureate, Aris Kian Brown, on Sept.2 for Labor Day weekend.

This is the third time Children’s Museum Houston has won in Houston Chronicle’s Best of the Best Awards. In 2020 and 2021, it was recognized as “Houston’s Best Children’s Activity.”
