‍Children’s Museum Houston boogies down to disco-inspired evening gala benefitting Museum’s educational and outreach programs

HOUSTON (Aug. 28, 2023) – Children's Museum Houston (CMH) will turn up the funk for this year’s“ A Night at Studio 54” Gala presented by Phillips 66.  This groovy evening event, filled with the stardust sparkle of a pulsating disco era, will turn back the clock and transform The Corinthian into the legendary Studio 54 at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2023 in downtown Houston.  Get ready for the best party of your life!

Event chairs Katie and Scott Arnoldy and Holly and Steve Radom and underwriting chairs Whitney and Ryan Burns and Allison and Ivan Chavez invite you to turn the beat around and boost CMH’S educational and outreach programs. This funding is vital in keeping alive the Museum’s day-to-day operations and in providing a rad place for children in the community to learn and have fun.  

More than 500 of Houston’s A-listers will go beyond the velvet rope, pass the ornate chandeliers, and rejoice in the likes of “Andy Warhol,” “Liza Minnelli,” and other radiant stars.  Black-tie or disco-glam, the event will be reminiscent of a time when bell bottoms, platform shoes, boas and funkadelic shades were in. Guests will dig on a multi-course feast of slamming delicacies catered by Jackson & Company.  Then, they will celebrate good times by hitting the dance floor and booging down to the beat of the Drywater Band – back by popular demand! who will turn up the Saturday night fever beneath the shimmer of disco balls.  

The live and silent auctions will feature amazing items thanks to auction chairs Mona Sarofim and Brittany Zeplain. This past year, CMH welcomed nearly 650,000 on-site visitors and impacted nearly 190,000children and parents through outreach programming.  For the last 31 years, the CMH annual gala has made it possible for the Museum to prepare children to be successful in school and to instill confidence in lifelong learning.
