Bugs in your house? Those are probably not fun. But bugs at the Museum? Now, those are an exciting opportunity to learn about ecosystems and food webs.
Last month, the Museum added two new displays to its CenterPoint Energy EcoStation. One is a terrarium that features a Texas brown tarantula, and a second is home to a colony of Madagascar hissing roaches. For years, Museum visitors have enjoyed insect petting zoos, and now families can see these crawly creatures every time they visit the Museum.
In addition to these new displays, the CenterPoint Energy EcoStation features a Texas rat snake and a lesser siren salamander, as well as an outdoor area that is home to native birds, butterflies, fish, and red-eared slider turtles.--> Read more about the CenterPoint Energy EcoStation.
