Surveys show that Fridays are one of the top-rated days of the week. There are a lot of theories on why this is the case, but at the Museum, Fridays are the favorite day because of BASF Kids’ Labs. All summer long, the Museum presented these in-depth Labs every Friday.
Museum educators saw many familiar faces each week, as families kept coming back to try out activities such as making slime, creating fizzy chemical reactions, and even filtering dirty water. The girl pictured at right is making a rainbow of liquids as part of a Lab on density. When asked if she had been to a BASF Kids' Lab before, she eagerly said, “Yes, last year! I still have the project! It was the DNA one!”
Look for more BASF Kids’ Labs coming in October—including ones featuring spooky, glow-in-the-dark projects.
