Recently, Museum visitors and educators competed against each other in a mind control showdown. The winners focused their brainwaves to send a ball moving down a game board. It wasn't telekinesis, but it was exciting science. Players wore EEG headsets that monitored brainwaves to play the game.
For those not inclined to try to move objects with their minds, there was yet another ExxonMobil MindFest challenge to tackle. Armed with leaf blowers, players used wind power to move balls across an indoor golf course.
Children voted on the activities, and the mind-powered game was declared the favorite. Museum educators brought this game back for a victory lap on Free Family Night.
Want to try more STEM challenges? Two new ExxonMobil MindFest activities are presented on the second Saturday of each month, and the learning continues on the following Free Family Night.
