Thanks to Chairs Lexi Sakowitz Marek and Natasha Stolte

The Museum’s 2026 Friends and Families Luncheon was inspiring, bold, and even record-breaking. On March 5th, co-chairs Lexi Sakowitz Marek and Natasha Stolte welcomed a full house of 400+ attendees to River Oaks Country Club, raising an unprecedented $237,000 for CMH programs.

The highlight of the event was keynote speaker Spencer Russell, a Houstonian who is the founder of Toddlers CAN Read. With uplifting advice and a great sense of humor, he detailed strategies for taking on complex challenges, including teaching young children to read. Attendees also enjoyed beautiful blooms donated by Central Market, cookie favors from Village Bakery, and an exciting raffle.

Thank you to everyone who made this day a success, including Mistress of Ceremonies Katherine Whaley; Benefactor Supporters The Allen Family / Kendall Strait / Morgan Neal; Patron Supporters Julie Alexander, Devorah Kreiger / Ashley Sloan, Lacey Marek, Rishma Mohamed, The Radoff Family, and Sewell Automotive Companies.
