“Friendship is one of the most powerful tools we have for breaking down barriers. Faithful Friends is designed to show kids and families that understanding and respect start with simple, meaningful connections.” - Christina McKee, CMH Project Director.

In April, the Museum celebrated the grand opening of Faithful Friends. This new exhibit explores our city's diversity of beliefs through families' lived experiences. Faithful Friends was created by the Museum in collaboration with 30+ partners, including Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston and Tanenbaum in New York. Important contributors include the many Houston children featured in the exhibit's video and audio clips.

Shown above is "Come to the Table," where families serve virtual meals that are part of five different celebrations.

Children have been excited to see their traditions represented within the exhibit.

One girl, upon seeing the Diwali meal, exclaimed, "This is my food! This is food from my country!" Then she joyously shouted to her friend to come and see "food from my country!
