One piggy bank can help you save, but three piggy banks can help you develop financial strategies. At the Museum’s Money Matters event on April 25th, even young children learned about smart financial decision making. Children made a set of piggy banks during storytimes, with one for saving, one for spending, and one for sharing with others.

Visitors also took part in CMH's Entrepreneurial Craft Labs, where they made tie-dye bandanas and other kid-friendly projects. As part of these workshops, children calculated the cost of materials and decided how much they would charge for their products.
Even though National Financial Literacy Month is over, learning about money continues in the Museum’s Kidtropolis exhibit, sponsored by Bank of America. Here, children earn paychecks, spend Kidtropolis dollars, and even try out careers in a kid-sized Bank of America branch.
