During the soft opening of the Gallery of Wonder, visitors had a sneak peek of its exhibits, and KPRC viewers were introduced to the Gallery as part of a Houston Life segment. The initial response to the exhibit has been overwhelmingly positive.

"This transformation is stunning. There is so much inclusivity and thought behind it,” shared one of the first visitors. “[The] open concept allows tots to explore freely and safely…beautiful colors, textures, and invitations to play and explore…truly well done.”
This early impression is echoed by survey results: 96% of Gallery of Wonder visitors said they would be more likely to visit the Museum again because of the new Gallery.
It is not just families who recognize the quality of the Museum's programming. The Gallery of Wonder is a key part of the Museum's offerings that are consistently acknowledged on a national level by organizations such as the Institute of Museum and Library Services. CMH is also accredited by the American Alliance of Museums—a distinction that has been earned by only 1% of children's museums. The Gallery of Wonder is the newest chapter in the Museum's story, and it is a gift to all of the young children who will grow up to be the future leaders, scientists, artists, and citizens of our city.
