WHATS HAPPENING

Live Tree Giveaway: Celebrate Earth Day by planting a tree of your own at the Live Tree Giveaway by Trees for Houston, where you can take home a tree to help grow a greener, healthier community!

When: At 9 am or until supplies last at the Museum Entrance

Gardening Activity: Get your hands in the soil with our EcoStation Educator as you learn gardening tips and discover how we can help our planet grow greener.

When: From 10 to 11 am in EcoStation Garden

Birdhouse Workshops: Build and decorate your own birdhouse in this hands-on maker workshop and create a cozy new home for our feathered friends in celebration of Earth Day. Limit 12 participants ages 6+. Sign ups open one hour prior to each workshop.

When: At the top of every hour from 10 am to 2 pm in Chevron Maker Lab

Mini Drama - Gnome More Water: Join Svenn and Kari in this lively, interactive mini-drama where kids practice kindness by noticing how others might be feeling and exploring ways to share and act fairly every day of the year!

When: At 11 am & 1 pm in Gallery of Wonder

Butterfly Buddies by Express Children’s Theater: This fun and interactive bilingual show asks kids from the audience to help perform an original story about a group of butterflies who have to learn to work together to save their endangered habitat.

When: At 12 pm in Playscape

Seed Starters: Get your hands messy as you craft your own little wildflower seed bomb to help brighten up the world with nature’s beauty!

When: From 12 to 3 pm in EcoStation

Recycled Bracelets: Learn how to make a meaningful accessory using repurposed materials that support sustainability!!

When: From 12 to 3 pm in EcoStation

HAPPENING ALL DAY

Holding the Earth Craft: Celebrate Earth Day by creating a meaningful art piece that highlights our shared planet, the communities we call home, and the ways we can care for the world together.
