Forty years ago, Children's Museum Houston was brought to life by an intrepid group of Houstonians who believe our city deserved a state-of-the-art children’s museum that would transform our community through innovative child-centered learning. In the four decades that followed, CMH has grown to serve more than one million children and families a year and is recognized around the world!

Now, as we prepare to celebrate the big 4-0, we are doing big things – VIRTUALLY! Our physical doors are closed, but our virtual doors are open wider than ever before. We are investing in innovative ideas (from Virtual Reality and live online courses to a brand new app!) that will enable us to provide best-in-class educational opportunities for all children wherever they are – online, in the classroom, or at home. Not to mention our continued commitment to providing much needed support for parents, our children’s first teachers, as we navigate virtual learning together.
