Santa is Coming to Sensory Friendly Day

Children's Museum Houston hosts exclusive Sensory Friendly event featuring Santa, therapy dogs and more!
Monday, Dec. 12, beginning at 10a.m.

Children’s Museum Houston invites you to an exclusive event for children with Autism.  Sensory Friendly Day is an opportunity for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to explore the Museum.  Doors will be closed to the public.  There will be no music and sound-reducing headphones will be available.  Outside food and drinks will be allowed (Fresh Café will be closed).  

 

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Smiles and Fur Friends Houston:  Fuzzy, friendly and fluffy!  Therapy pets are sure to bring a smile.

Event Time: From 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Kids’ Hall.

 

Santa Claus:  Bring your wish list and snap a selfie with Santa!

Event Time:  From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Kids’ Hall Alcove.

 

Holiday Story Time: Tis’ the season!  Join us for a cozy holiday tale.  

Event Time: At 11a.m., 11:30 a.m. and noon in Parent Resource Library.

 

Faithful Paws:  Experience unconditional love and furry comfort with trained therapy pets.

Event Time:  From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Kids’ Hall.

 

Sensory Resources:  Visit with ACES and SPARKS for developmental, behavioral, community resources.

Event Time:  From 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Kids’ Hall.
