Calling all early childhood educators! 2020 was full of challenges, especially for educators and the students they serve. Children’s Museum Houston would like to spotlight 30 deserving teachers this April! We invite parents, principals, and educators to nominate a special teacher to be honored on our website and/or social media platforms.
For the past 22 years, the Museum and the Martel Foundation have scoured the Houston area for teachers who possess “exemplary commitment” to educating young children. We could not let this school year go by without acknowledging our hard-working educators! All we need is a completed nomination form and we will do the rest!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must be the teacher of record in a classroom with children 8 years of age and younger, and have an associate's or bachelor's degree in education, Montessori certification or Child Development Associate Certification.
- Nominators include Parents, Principals or others who have first-hand knowledge of the candidates teaching skills.
- Nominations must be received via email by March 5, 2021 to Dr. Lisa Williams.
