With witches' hats and pumpkin masks, CMH educators turned Para los Niños workshops into Halloween celebrations. These workshops, which are held at libraries and community centers across Houston, welcome families to bilingual storytimes and activities that support early learning. October workshops were especially festive, with spooky stories, costumes for children to wear, free books for every child, and Open Doors passes so that families could visit the Museum at no charge.
"Facilitating these workshops is such a joy," shared CMH Early Childhood Program Manager Belkis Hernandez. "Families love the playful learning experiences that match the celebrations—dressing up in costumes, enjoying a sneak peek of trick-or-treating, and more—and we feel so rewarded seeing their excitement with the books and passes. It’s wonderful to witness how it sparks curiosity and encourages families to visit the Museum for even more learning opportunities."
