A cipher disk is a deciphering tool that was developed in the 1400s by Leon Battista Alberti. Sometimes the disk will have only letters and sometimes a disk can have both letters and numbers that will be used to make a code. You can make your own cipher wheel at home with just a few sheets of paper and a pencil. Write your own code and have someone else decipher it!
