Sense of permanence is the understanding that objects exist even when they cannot be seen, heard, touched, or smelled. Follow Children's Museum Houston educator, Gisela, who demonstrates how young ones can practice this concept. Practicing this skill will help babies feel less scared when parents or caregivers aren't around and feel confident they will come back for them. For ages 9 to 6 months.

Finger painting allows your toddler to express creativity and imagination.  It involves the muscles in the fingers, hands, shoulders, neck and back.  Children's Museum Houston educator, Viri, shows you how to do a finger painting activity which can help your toddler's fine motor skills and language development. For ages 6 to 12 months.

Get your body moving!  Children's Museum Houston early childhood educator, Ramona, shows us how to get toddlers interested in physical activity by putting together a sensory obstacle course using items found at home. For ages 12 to 24 months.

Join Children's Museum Houston educator, Jacob, and special guest Ziggy, as they make an “insert activity,” which encourages fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, and sorting skills. For ages 24 to 36 months.

Explore your natural surroundings with Children's Museum Houston educators, Belkis and Gisela!  Objects found in nature can encourage your young ones to use their senses while they explore.  Follow our educators as they show you how to become a nature detective by playing an "I Spy Nature" game. For ages 36 to 60 months.
