The Children's Museum of Houston offers many volunteer opportunities for teens, adults and groups. During your volunteer experience, you have the chance to interact with visitors, assist staff in the action-packed exhibits or help our hard-working Administrative staff.

Discovery Squad Program
School Session is filled. Summer Session applications will be available in January.
The Discovery Squad, our teen volunteer program, are required to be 14 years of age prior to beginning the program and no older than 17 years old. Discovery Squad members are asked to complete a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer service to the Museum during the summer months or throughout the school year.
Adult Volunteer Program
The Adult Program is for volunteers 18 years and older. Volunteers are asked to complete a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer service to the Museum per year. Some activities include volunteering at the Information Booth, for Special Events and Museum Outreach!

Spring Break March 12-21
The Group Program is for community groups (ie youth clubs, scout troops, etc) that want to volunteer their time for half a day, one full day, or for a short term projects. All group members must be at least 14 years old. Your group or organization can enjoy a fun-filled day at the Museum and earn volunteer hours!
Corporate Volunteer Program
The Corporate Program is for corporate and business groups who wish to compliment their contribution to the community through volunteer service.
Volunteer Orientation & Schedule
Volunteer orientation is a fun and interactive introduction to the Children's Museum of Houston. You’ll learn about our history, mission and our basic policies and procedures.
Orientations take place at the Museum in the Brown Foundation, Inc. Auditorium.
