The Children's Museum of Houston offers many volunteer opportunities for teens, adults and groups. Interact with visitors, assist staff in the action-packed exhibits or help our hard-working Administrative staff during your volunteer experience.
DISCOVERY SQUAD PROGRAM
Ages 14 - 17
The Discovery Squad is a teen volunteer program who is asked to complete a minimum of 75 hours of volunteer service to the Museum during the summer months or throughout the school year.
We are currently accepting Discovery Squad applications for the 2014 - 2015 school year! To be considered for the Discovery Squad Program, please complete ALL the forms below and submit them to our Volunteer Office:
Adult Volunteers are asked to complete a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer service to the Museum per year. Activities include volunteering at the Information Booth, or for Special Events and Museum Outreach.
The Group Volunteer Program is for community groups (i.e., youth clubs, scout troops, etc.) who want to volunteer for short-term projects, half a day or one full day. All group members must be at least 14 years old. Your group or organization can enjoy a fun-filled day at the Museum and earn volunteer hours!
The Children's Museum of Houston's Kids' Committee is dedicated to helping the Museum be a better place for children. This group is asked provide a kid’s perspective for the museum on everything from exhibit development to programming. Check back soon for application dates!
