Science Workshop

Science WorkshopTwo main programs are offered at the Science Workshop – a field trip program and an after school program.

These programs are unique because they provide enhanced learning experiences incorporating tools, materials and problem-solving challenges typically not encountered in the classroom.

Field Trips are:
  • Free to teachers and their classes in the East End
  • Scheduled during the school day
  • Involve a teacher, their class, a SW instructor, and volunteers or parent
After School Programs are:
  • Free to after school providers in the East End
  • Scheduled on a regular basis (roughly once per week)
In addition to the after school program, students from Edison “drop in” and work on self-initiated projects with the guidance of the Science Workshop staff. This program runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6:00 PM during the school year.
