On April 21 and 22, 2024, join us as we embark on a journey to explore and celebrate our planet's incredible natural wonders and the importance of environmental conservation. SATURDAY, APRIL 20:

 

Tree Sapling Giveaway: Donated by Trees for Houston, this exciting initiative invites you to take home a tree sapling, symbolizing a commitment to nurturing our planet for future generations. Each sapling promises growth, providing both beauty and environmental benefits for years to come.  Start your journey towards a greener tomorrow!

UHD Water Filtration Demonstrations: Dive into the fascinating world of water filtration with scientists from the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD). Join us for thrilling hands-on experiments that unveil the mysteries behind this essential process, empowering you to understand and appreciate the importance of clean water for life on Earth.

Ant Talks with Scott Solomon: Join Associate Teaching Professor at Rice University, Scott Solomon, for an electrifying discourse on the unparalleled significance of ants in our ecosystem. Harris County Public Health Avian Team: Prepare to be captivated as the Harris County Public Health Avian Team swoops in to showcase the wonders of avian life and environmental conservation. Embark on an action-packed journey filled with fascinating insights into our feathered friends and their vital role in maintaining ecological balance.

RicePOP: Hold onto your hats as the RicePOP (Rice University Physics Outreach Program)unleashes a whirlwind of excitement.  Prepare to be dazzled by mind-bending experiments that ignite curiosity and inspire a passion for science among visitors of all ages.

Event Time:  From noon to 4 p.m. in INVISTA Science Station.

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 21:

 

Tom's Fun Band - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Tom’s Fun Band brings the fun and excitement to conservation education with music and comedy. Join in for interactive sessions that teach you how to reduce waste, repurpose found objects, and embrace recycling in a musically engaging way.
