WHAT:
Some say they’re a myth. Others say they’re real. Come find out for yourself if unicorns really do exist during
Unicorn Utopia at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Paint to your heart’s desire and use all the colors of the rainbow. Or if you’re looking for something else to suit your fancy,
miniature horses have magically transformed into unicorns for a day of sensory play!
SPECIAL EVENTS:
“Unicorn” Ponies: “Unicorns” will trot and share their magic for a special sensory petting experience.
Event time: Noon to 3 p.m. in the Allen Family Courtyard.
Unicorn Watercolors: Join local artist Lisa Chow as she experiments with all the colors of the rainbow.
Event time: 11 a.m., noon, 1 and 2 p.m. at Alexander Art Academy.
Unicorn Masks: Don’t just pet a unicorn. Be a unicorn! Draw inspiration from the mythical creature.
Event time: All day at Junktion.
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
- Winter Skies: Make a card featuring a snowy landscape at Alexander Art Academy.
- Animals in Winter: Explore different ways animals survive cold winter temps at EcoStation.
- Winter Birds Field Guide: Learn how to attract birds to your backyard in winter at EcoStation.
- Giant Snowball: It's snowball time! Make your own giant snowball at Junktion.
- Penguin Puppet: Show off your artic skills by designing your own colorful penguin at Junktion.
- Polar Bear Party: Transform yourself into a polar bear by making a mask at Junktion.
- Paper Chain Patterns: Things are about to go off the chain at ExxonMobil Math Cart.
