Imagine a world without Nintendo DS or PSP! It did exist way back when your parents were young. Come on over and discover how far your imagination will take you as we’re bringing classic toys to the present, no batteries required.
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
• Science of Retro Toys: Silly Putty, the Slinky, Wooly Willy and Lava Lamps. Discover the workings of these classics at Science Station.
• Retro Toys Dominoes Dash: Devise paths, jumps, swings, and other perils to add excitement to your retro chain reaction at the Inventors’ Workshop.
• 5, 6 Pick-Up-Sticks: This old favorite becomes more interesting with each turn. Add points while subtracting sticks from the pile at Junktion.
• This Spud’s for You: Swing by Junktion and put together a classic Mr. Potato Head.
• Pet Rock: The fad of pet rocks came out in the 1970s. Using river rocks, sticker eyes, and some decorations, make your own groovy pet rock to take home.
• Pointillism: Channel Roy Lichtenstein and explore historically significant works of pop art from the 50's and 60's in the Alexander Art Academy.
