HOUSTON (Sept. 28, 2015) – The Children’s Museum of Houston experienced a blast from the past at this year’s Back to the 80’s Pre-Gala Kickoff Celebration. The event took place on Sept. 10 at the luxurious Deutsch & Deutsch Jewelers in the Galleria, where a $19,500 donated Rolex was the star of the night. Raffle tickets for the exquisite Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch are on sale for $100 each. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold and withholding tax will be underwritten. The raffle will benefit the museum in support of outreach programs for low-income families. The winner of the Rolex will be announced at the Back to the 80’s Gala.
Special guests at the Pre-Gala Kickoff Celebration included: Gala Chairmen Carmen and Butch Mach, and Bill and Courtney Toomey; Krystal and Garrett Thompson, Joella and Steve Mach, Milessa Lowrie, Christie Sullivan, Cora Sue and Harry Mach, Randy and Laurie Allen, Winnie Simmons, David and Viviana Denechaud and Christie and Billy McCartney.
BACK TO THE 80’S GALA
The Children’s Museum of Houston will dance the night away for this year’s “Back to the 80’s – 35th Anniversary Celebration” 2015 gala. This rockin’ event, inspired by the year the Museum came to be, will transport the spirit/essence of the 1980s into Silver Street Studios at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015. Event chairs Carmen and Butch Mach and Courtney and Bill Toomey will play host to a totally rad gala in hopes of further developing the Museum’s educational and outreach programs.
Tables of 10 are available at sponsorship levels of $50,000 (Sold to BB&T!), $30,000, $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000, $7,500 as well as a limited number at $5,000. Individual tickets may be purchased at $500.
