DR. CAROLYN FARB BOOK READING
Houston philanthropist debuts new children’s book at Children’s Museum of Houston
You’re invited to meet Houston philanthropist and author Dr. Carolyn Farb as she reads excerpts frown her new children’s illustrated book Lucas Comes to America on Oct. 8 at the Children’s Museum of Houston (CMH).
Lucas Comes to America is a terrier’s inside world of pill pocket treats, dancing with dragonflies, terrier courtship, and Turner classics! It is a delightful true story about Dr. Farb’s much beloved dog that came from a quaint farm in Manchester, England and made his way to Dr. Farb’s charming Houston home where everything below doorknob height is fair game! The book is filled with pearls of wisdom for children of all ages.
Come hang out with Lucas and his pup Maximillian! Dr. Farb will also be signing books which will be available for purchase.
Dr. Carolyn Farb is a native Houstonian. She attended the University of Oklahoma and received an honorary doctorate in humanities from Northwood University in 2003. Houston’s premier fundraiser and event creator, Dr. Farb is a passionate art collector and is supported by her best canine companions: Lucas, the fearless energetic terrier, and his exuberant pup, Maximillian.
