What We Do
The Children's Museum of Houston delivers innovative learning opportunities for children birth through 12 years of age.
Who We Serve
The Children's Museum of Houston serves an audience of 1,051,339 million children and families. Average annual onsite attendance is approximately 800,000 with another 251,339 served through offsite outreach programming at 248 centers throughout the Houston area in collaboration with 642 community partners.
How We Serve Our Community
The Children's Museum of Houston offers free admission to 19% of its onsite visitors and reduced admission to another 34%. The Museum's programs are presented with signage in both English and Spanish, and 40% of visitor contact staff members are bilingual in English and Spanish. Outreach programs such as Open Doors, Para Los Niños, Free Family Night, Family Adventures, and many others are designed specifically to connect with low-income and underserved communities.
