The Children's Museum of Houston is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization under the direction of a Board of Directors.
The Children's Museum of Houston delivers innovative learning opportunities for children birth through 12 years of age.
The Children's Museum of Houston serves an audience of more than 1 million children and families. Average annual onsite attendance is approximately 800,000 with another 251,339 served through offsite outreach programming at 248 centers throughout the Houston area, in collaboration with 642 community partners.
The Children's Museum of Houston offers free admission to 19 percent of its onsite visitors and reduced admission to another 34 percent. The Museum's programs are presented with signage in both English and Spanish, and 40 percent of staff members who interact with visitors are bilingual in English and Spanish. Outreach programs such as Open Doors, Para Los Niños, Free Family Night, Family Adventures and many others are designed specifically to connect with low-income and underserved communities.
