The Museum is OPEN and back to normal operating hours!
Yes! We ARE open! The Children's Museum of Houston has power and our yummy
Kids Café has just been stocked! Come on over with the family if you’re struggling to find ways to keep the kids entertained. We are resuming normal operating hours and we’ll be open till 6 p.m. today, plus
Free Family Night hours on Thursday from 5 – 8 p.m.
If you can’t make it to the Museum but have access to the Internet, we have something to amuse you! Take wacky portraits of yourself and
upload photos to our web site. Show facial expressions of how you’re coping with post-weather boredom! We’re trying to collect photos that will comprise a block-long picture mosaic exhibit, which we’ll unveil in our
John P. McGovern Kids Hall during our
expansion grand opening on March 14, 2009!
Plus, we’ll have plenty of action-packed activities during the rest of the week, like face-painting, race-car testing, ZOOB building, movie watching, engaging science demos, and we’re even celebrating the Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Children's Festival on Saturday, September 27.
