It’s your right to fun! Houston’s heating up and summer vacation is upon us. Get into that summertime groove with a little rock n’ roll at the Museum's 2012 Summer of Fun. Let your inner rock star run wild and while your musical genius comes alive during our Summer Rockin’ WonderWeek, June 1 – 6.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Event Time: Every day at 2 p.m. in the Alcove.
•Spotlight Performance – Ryan West: Rock out to hip tunes in the Brown Auditorium.
Event Time: Thursday, May 31, 6:30 p.m. during Free Family Night.
Saturday, June 2 at 2 p.m.
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES:
•Microphones: Get ready to be the star of the show! Design your own personalized microphone and belt out your favorite song at Junktion.
•What’s that sound?: Rock stars experiment with beats. Challenge your senses to figure out what’s making different sounds at Junktion.
•What’s the Buzz?: Check out Junktion and create your own kazoo so you can make music!
•Pom Pom Toss: Rock stars live to be cheered. Enjoy this fun game of toss and add a mathematical twist to your day at the ExxonMobil Math Cart.
•Race to the Top: What are your chances of making it big? Stop by the ExxonMobil Math Cart to see which number will race to the top first in this fun game of probability.
•Jitter Critters: Get your groove on and invent little critters that dance and shake. Bring them to life with simple electronics at the Inventors’ Workshop.
