Ahoy, mateys! Join us at the Museum as we board our Pirates Ahoy! Bash.  This high-sea adventure will take young pirates through fun-filled activities and events. Whether you are an aspiring captain or a novice swashbuckler, this day will shiver your timbers!  International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a real holiday celebrated on Sept. 19.

• Floating Art:  You can be just like a pirate by finding the treasure hidden in the water.  Create floating art by sprinkling chalk powder over water at the Alexander Art Academy.  What treasures will you capture? 
• Boats Afloat:  Stir up a tempest strong enough to sink a ship.  Construct boat shapes out of foil and see how many washers they can hold at Science Station.
• Shiver Me Timbers Treasure Hunt:  A pirate’s work is all in how he hunts for his booty! This team activity requires logic as you uncover the secret code to unlock the treasure chest at Junktion.
• Pirate Spy Glass:  Be on the lookout for stormy weather as you make this fantastic telescope at Junktion.
• Pirate Hat:  A pirate’s outfit is not complete without a stylish hat. Make one at Junktion.
• Treasure Hunters:  Argghhh maties!  We've hidden a buried treasure somewhere in the sand.  Can you use coordinate geometry and our treasure map to find it?  Remember, X marks the spot at the ExxonMobil Math Cart!
