Event Description
Did you know that the average person throws away about 4 pounds of trash each day? In Texas, it’s almost 7 pounds per day! Many people think this garbage magically disappears when it is put on the street lawn or in the dumpster.
Featured Activities:
• Trash Disposal—Use a bar graph and pie chart to determine which material is thrown out more than others.
• Trash Talk— Learn more fun trash facts as you play Recycling Chutes and Ladders.
• Reduce, reuse, Recycle— Try your hand at being a garbage man and sort the trash according to the most appropriate means for disposal.
