For 43 years, Earth Day has inspired awareness and appreciation for the planet we call home. Spring into action and celebrate the wonders of the world during Earth Day at the Children's Museum of Houston. Make a big difference to protect the environment by learning about it.SPECIAL EVENTS:
• Texas Wildlife Rehab Center: Stick around for a wild show-and-tell of animals including reptiles, opossums and owls.
Event time: Noon – 4 p.m. at EcoStation.
• Texas Wildlife Association: Participate in a skin crawling presentation of skulls and skins.
Event Time: Noon – 2 p.m. at Junktion.
• Seed Paper Making: Reuse paper scraps to create beautiful seed paper you can plant in your garden at home.
Event Time: 1 – 3 p.m. at Kid’s Hall.
• Water Bottle Birdfeeders: Make a birdfeeder to take home using recycled water bottles.
Event Time: 2 – 4 p.m. at Kid’s Hall.
• Newspaper Shade Hats: Make a shade hat out of old newspaper to wear outside on hot, sunny days.
Event Time: 3 – 5 p.m. at Kid’s Hall
• Trees for Houston: Swing by the Alcove to take home seedlings to plant in your backyard. (While supplies last)

• Turbines: Check out how rotating turbines create power at Science Station.
• Solar Panels: How efficient is solar technology? Experiment with it at Science Station.
• Thermoelectricity: See temperature differences producing electricity at Science Station.
• Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Explore ways to lessen trash at EcoStation.
• Reused Magazine Necklace: Make fashion forward stylish necklaces at EcoStation.
• Rainy Day Reflections: Admire a rainy-day puddle reflection at Alexander Art Academy.
• 3-D Earth: Make a 3-D Earth souvenir to take home at Junktion.
• Wildlife Symbols: Stop by Junktion and create a Texas-shaped guide of our wildlife.
• Design Your Own Bird: Make a bird based on the environment it lives in at Junktion.
