Do you have to be a member in order to book a Party?
No. Non-members may reserve a party and Museum Members will receive a discount. It is one of the many member perks at the Children's Museum of Houston!
How much does it cost?
The cost of a "Simply Wonderful" Birthday Celebration is $275 for Members and $325 for Non-Members. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the party date, and the remaining balance is due 3 weeks (15 business days) before the party.
The cost of the "Anything I Want to Be" Birthday Celebration is $400 for Members and $450 for Non-Members. A $50 non-refundable deposit to secure their party date and the remaining balance is due 3 weeks (15 business days) before the party.
Payment can be made via credit card via phone (713-535-7212) or in person at our Box Office. Box Office accepts credit, cash or money order.
What days & times are available?
Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 4 - 6 p.m.
Secure the party date by paying the $50 non-refundable deposit. Payments may be submitted to the Birthday Party Coordinator via emailor at 713-535-7212. You may also pay the deposit at the Museum's Box Office or by completing a Birthday Party Registration Form.
A Birthday Party Agreement will be mailed to you. Please complete and return the Birthday Party Agreement letter via mail, fax or email as it indicates.
Pay remaining party balance 3 weeks (15 business days) prior to the party date via credit card. You may mail, fax or email the Birthday Party Agreement to pay the remaining balance or make a payment in person at the Museum's Box Office with cash, credit or money order. Failure to pay the balance 3 weeks (15 business days) in advance will automatically cancel your party. Should you cancel within the 15 business day window, you will forfeit the entire fee.

May I bring in my own food? You may bring in your own special cake, ice cream and drinks, and our in-house Fresh Café can help with your food. Keep it simple - individual ice cream cups and individual juice boxes are easier to clean up.
Could the Children's Museum of Houston recommend party favors for our guests? Yes! Our Fiddle Sticks Toys located in the Museum lobby has a huge selection and great prices. Plus, you get an extra 20 percent discount on purchases as a Party Host.
What am I responsible for? Our staff is not permitted to serve food to your guests, nor do they clean up after refreshments are served. Trash containers are provided for you to use in leaving the party room. You should plan on promptly vacating the party room at the end of your party. Please do not tip our staff. However, we welcome your comments about their great efforts to make your child’s day special!
