Family Fun at the Discovery Center in Sugar Land Texas

The Children's Museum of Houston Discovery Center at Sugar Land Town Square will be open this summer June 6 through July 18.

The Discovery Center's hours and admission vary from our main location. Please scroll to the end of this page for more details.

Some of the Children's Museum of Houston's most popular, award-winning exhibits will be featured at this location, including...

CyberChase – The Chase Is On!

Join forces with the CyberSquad: Matt, Inez, Jackie and Digit, in their quest to save Cyberspace as they zoom into Cyberchase – The Chase Is On!, an out-of-this-world, math adventure!

Based on the award-winning PBS KIDS GO! math mystery cartoon CYBERCHASE™, the exhibit presents math in a fun, kid-friendly environment, allowing children to make use of their critical thinking skills and approach math with an investigative, positive attitude.

In the exhibit, children will enter Cyberspace through a special portal to explore favorite cybersites, including the Control Central, the Grim Wreaker and Poddleville!

Dragons & Fairies: Exploring Viet Nam Through Folktales

Kids (and adults) will enter folktale theaters to view the stories behind the culture and traditions of Viet Nam while exploring the daily experiences of Vietnamese people in the Dragons & Fairies: Exploring Vietnam through Folktales exhibit!

Dive into what life is like in Viet Nam’s rural areas by wandering the city “streets” or hopping on a scooter and navigating through busy traffic. Enter a houseboat and a house, like the ones in Viet Nam’s urban seaside regions, and carry goods from the market using yoke carriers. Discover how to perform a dragon dance or even view Manga-style art to see a family’s preparations for festivities!

Tot Spot

Tot Spot is a kid-friendly exhibit that will give tots (from birth to age three) the opportunity for exploration, discovery, experimentation and wonder. This fun-filled wonderland of stimulating activities is designed to develop critical thinking, problem solving and motor skills.
